Switzerland’s Seedstars International Ventures has named Bruce Nsereko-Lule as general partner on its Africa fund, bringing him in from Chandaria Capital, a family office platform.
He has been named general partner on the Seedstars Africa Ventures, which is targeting $100 million at final close.
He moves to Seedstars after over five years at Chandaria, having joined the venture capital firm as investment principal in 2017. He was one of the founding members of the investment team at Chandaria.
Nsereko-Lule was also part of the investment advisory committee at BFA Global, a Kenya-based financial service company. He was in the role for almost two years from 2020 to 2022.

Nsereko-Lule spent the earlier part of his career at Credit Suisse, a Switzerland-based financial services company, where he was most senior analyst for less than a year in 2013.
Seedstars’ recent Africa deals include leading a $2.7 million seed funding round into Nigeria-based technology energy company, Beacon Power Services (BPS) – earlier in 2022. The investor structured the deal through Seedstars Africa Ventures.
The investor also backed an approximately $8.2 million (€8 million) series-A funding round in Bizao, an Africa-focused financial services technology company, delivered earlier in 2022. The transaction was structured as a mixture of debt and equity. The investor also structured the deal through Seedstars Africa Ventures.
